- Thanks for sharing, interesting. Kinda intuitive I would say. For a street application, I would be curious to know how/if sensitivity to detonation is affected by the increase in bore. When considering power alone, bigger is probably better to a point. I am interested in street cars and running pump gas 99% of the time. - I think if we can make the cars make plenty of power. If you're talking dyno wars, then maybe exotic blocks are needed. If you are talking real racing, the foundation for power is already there; most of the progress is to be made in other systems, including, but not limited to, oiling and power transmission. Look no further than our own Kuah and z324u to see what the cars can do with a stock block. I'm sure there are examples of other folks going fast, those two names are just evident on the forum.
